How can I buy your bread?
A few different ways! First, preordering for pick up at one of our pickup locations. Bread for preorder is posted on Friday evenings! When we do a Wednesday bake the pickup location is at Blue Jug of Fort Payne (519 Gault Ave N, Fort Payne, AL 35967) and when we do a Friday bake the pickup location is the Farm at Windy Hill (445 Co Rd 942, Mentone, AL 35984).
The second way to purchase is directly from us at the Farm at Windy Hill during their market! Market season runs from March - November and is from 2-5PM. We start selling right at 2 and sell out in about 30 mins so if you want to make sure you get something be there right at 2 or a little before.
Third, if you have a special order that you’d like to place, please email us at valleyheadbread@gmail.com with the details! We'll try our best to accommodate a special bake for you.
How do I store my bread or keep it fresh?
Because our bread isn’t made with any preservatives, you’ll either need to eat it in 1-2 days or freeze it. While our kids can make a loaf of bread disappear in 15 mins, we realize not everyone will be able to match that pace.
If you would like to enjoy the bread over a few days, we recommend slicing it toaster sized and storing in a freezer bag in the freezer. You can transfer straight from the freezer to the toaster to have fresh toast everyday.
What if I can't pick up my bread?
If for some reason your unable to pick up your bread, consider sending a family member or friend to pick up for you! We bake your bread fresh that morning and your order reserves the bread for you. We don't offer prolonged holds or refunds on bread that's not picked up.
What if I forget to pick up my bread?
As stated above, we make your bread fresh for you that day and we can't offer prolonged holds or refunds on bread that that's not picked up. Any bread not picked up is donated.
